The Role of Information Technology in Supporting Knowledge Management Operations
Abstract
The study aimed to know the role of information technology in supporting knowledge management Operations and the processes, and to clarify the concept of information technology and knowledge management. The study followed the descriptive approach in its theoretical style based on theoretical literature and previous studies. It was concluded that information technology with its elements represents a basic basis for applying knowledge management processes, and information technology enhances the organization's ability to employ and manage knowledge effectively. The study recommended the necessity of creating appropriate working conditions and environment in organizations to enhance information technology in order to enhance and ensure the success of modern administrative approaches, including knowledge management.
