Yara ABBADI, Mahmoud ISMAIL

Abstract

This study aims to observe international environmental law improvement in climate change issue, from the angle of human right to life. Everyone’s right to life shall be protected by law. This right is one of the most essential human rights of the international conventions since without the right to life it is not possible to enjoy the other human rights. Climate change impacts internationally recognized human rights. States have a certain obligation to take real actions to avoid these climate impacts, in order to reduce climate change and to guarantee that all human rights-holders (human beings) have the chance to survive to the climate crisis. Climate justice entails that climate action is constant with existing international human rights agreements, responsibilities, values and ethics. In order to generate coherent policies and support measures of climate change reducing, more non-discriminatory legal efforts are required, and need to be observed.
