Prof. Dr. Ulvi Keser

Ulvi Keser, being the son of a Turkish Cypriot family, was born in Anamur. Having completed his education successively at Atatürk, Gazi and Dokuz Eylül University, he prepared his doctorate thesis named “1955–1963 Underground Activities in Cyprus and Turkish Resistance Organization. His field of study, interest, and expertise is thoroughly Cyprus, Mediterranean and Cyprus. He has totally 43 books published, edited, and prepared by him so far as well as a good many articles and researches published and presented in Turkey and abroad. Ulvi Keser making researches upon Taurus Nomads as well has a second to none archive and collection of “Turkish Cypriot National Struggle, Turkish Cypriot Postal History, Greek Cypriot Propaganda in Philately, UNFICYP Activities in Cyprus, Military Post and Military Activities in Cyprus, Atatürk, Censor in Ottoman and Republican Period, the UN and NATO Missions.” with lots of national and international rewards in the exhibitions and the competitions. Ulvi Keser has also the badge of International PADI Medic First Aid, Wreck Diver, and Underwater Photographer. Ulvi Keser used to be the Director of Atılım University Cyprus Research and Survey Center (AKAUM). He has also worked at Cyprus International University as the Head of International Relations Department and European Relations Department as well. Besides he has founded Mediterranean and Cyprus Research Center at CIU. He is currently working at American University of Cyprus (AUC) as the Dean of Faculty of Political Sciences, and the Director of Cyprus Research Center. Married Mrs. Nuran Keser, Ulvi Keser has two daughters, named Hazel and Asporça Melis.


      Dr.Ozan Örmeci             

Dr. Ozan Örmeci was born in 1981, in Izmir. His father and family are from Senirkent, Isparta. He finished primary school in Izmir Turk College (ITK) and had middle school and lycee education in Izmir Saint-Joseph French College. He was graduated from Bilkent University’s Political Science and Public Administration department in 2004 as a high-honour student. In 2011, he earned PhD degree from Bilkent University Political Science department with his thesis entitled “Portrait of a Turkish Social Democrat: Ismail Cem” under the supervision of Dr. Berrak Burçak, from a distinguished jury composed of Prof. Metin Heper, Prof. Ergun Özbudun, Prof. Ayşe Güneş Ayata, Dr. Nur Bilge Criss. He worked as lecturer in Uşak University Public Administration department for 3,5 years between 2009 and 2012. Starting from October 2012, he has been working as Assistant Professor and heading the department of Political Science and Public Administration in Girne American University (American University of Kyrenia), in Cyprus. He has previously published many scientific books and articles in Turkey and abroad. He is able to speak fluently and write academically in French and in English. He also works as a specialist for Turkish Political Psychology Association (PPD). Dr. Örmeci is the Coordinator of UPA (International Political Academy) initiative. His main research interests are Turkish Political History, Political Psychology, Leftist Movements in Turkey and Turkish Foreign Policy.

The abstract should not exceed 300 words.

Within two weeks from receiving your abstract we will let you know if your proposal is accepted. All accepted abstracts and papers are peer-reviewed and will be published in the conference abstract eBook on our website.

Presentation: You will have up to 15 minutes time for your presentation. It is recommended to speak no longer than 10 minutes and let at least 5 minutes for discussion. Please bring your presentation on a USB flash drive. Each presentation room will be equipped with a laptop and a screen for PowerPoint presentations. The laptop will be set up for power-point presentations. Transparency projectors are not provided. Assume there may not be internet access.

Paper publication: If you would like to publish your paper in THE INTERNATIONAL MULTILINGUAL ACADEMIC JOURNAL – IMAJ (ISSN 2330-6440). The journals are published by the American Academic & Scholarly Research Center and indexed with and included in the Library of Congress, Ulrich, WorldCat, Google Scholar, GetCITED, Cite Seer, Open Archive Harvester and The Universe Digital Library. Please send it to us by email by the end of the conference. Your paper should contain: name(s) of the author(s), institution(s), title, abstract, keywords and references. Papers published in our journals are double-blind, peer reviewed.
