Abstract

The aim of this study was to identify the causes and effects of occupational leakage and ways of dealing with it in the Ministry of Health from the employees’ point of view. To achieve these objectives, the researcher used the analytical descriptive method and used the questionnaire as a tool for the study. The study population consists of the health staff of the Ministry of Health. The study sample was 150 Saudi and non-Saudi employees.

The results of the study showed that the employees of the Ministry of Health agreed with the regulatory factors as a reason for the obvious drop in the health staff in the Ministry of Health. The results also showed that workers in the Ministry of Health agree with the physical and moral factors as one of the causes of the occupational leakage of the health staff. The workers in the Ministry of Health agree on personal and social factors as one of the possible causes of the occupational leakage of health staff.

In the light of these findings, the study recommended that there should be a clear career path for promotion and the annual allowance that the employee receives should be adequate. The moral incentives (appreciation, thanks, etc.) provided by the establishment must also be enough.
