The knowledge localization factors in light of the Saudi’s Vision2030King Abdullah Economic City as a model

Abstract


This research aims to reach the important factors for the localization of knowledge in the light of the Saudi's Vision 2030, through polling a number of experts in different magazines, using Delphi Technique method as a methodology for the study, and King Abdullah Economic City KAEC was chosen as a model for modern cities to apply this study.
The study reached to define the factors of localization of knowledge in the light of the Vision2030, and it was divided into two groups according to the approval ratios of the experts, the main group of factors, which are the factors that obtained an approval rate higher than 80%, and the group of supporting factors, which obtained the ratios between Approval between 75% and 50%, and only one secondary factor, with approval of less than 50%.
The study also came out with a number of recommendations, the most important of which are: Calling for workers to send abroad to receive training programs in the administrative and technical aspects, acquiring modern knowledge to settle them within the organization and transferring them to other workers, and calling for building databases of lessons learned from experiences and procedures practiced by foreign companies to solve Problems during project implementation, and it was also recommended to raise awareness about the benefits of social networks in the business sector because of their importance in capturing and localizing knowledge.
