Scholarship Information Management System (Safir) an evaluation study from the University of Baha Scholarship

Abstract


The study aimed to identify the evaluating Safire's electronic program in terms of content, services, design and easy of use, speed in responding to inquiries, aids and communication tools to determine its efficiency and the extent to which it satisfies the wishes of the beneficiaries. Furthermore, the study aimed to identify the strengths and weaknesses in the program (Safir), to fulfill these objectives, the descriptive analytical method is used in this study, where the researcher used the questionnaire to collect primary data. the study population consists of the scholarship of Al Baha university within the teaching staff and staff members who are studying abroad. The study' sample was selected randomly to represent a sample of teaching staff and staff members reach a number of (148) individual. The study concluded that the it is important to note that Safire’s program is very responsive to the wishes of the students. It provides all information to all users without exception, and that the success of the (Safir) program in providing tracking and commenting on all transactions, while the study showed that the level of provision of services on behalf of all government services for students is below than the required level, the Safire website is also secured so that third parties cannot access the personal information, details and inquiries of students and answer them. the main recommendations of the study include the need to do more to support the content of Safire’s program so to be more modern, researcher recommends that all employees in the Safire's program sections abroad from the employees of the ministry of higher education or Saudi employees of the custodian of the two holy mosques program for external scholarship.
