DEVELOPMENT OF PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT FOR MANAGERS OF PRIMARY SCHOOLS IN JEDDAH, IN THE LIGHT OF MANAGEMENT BY WANDERING AROUND

Abstract


This study aimed to identify the reality of the administrative performance of elementary school principals in Jeddah, in the light of management wandering from the point of view, disclosure of the impact of each of the variables (years of managerial experience, academic qualifications, a variable type of building) in the reality of performance.

Where the researcher designed a questionnaire consisted of (48) items distributed in too main areas of (the reality of managerial performance, then the requirements of development of performance management), and follow the researcher descriptive analytical method, applied the questionnaire to a stratified random sample consisted of 107 managers , of the study population and the original's 246 director, have resulted in findings of the study:

- show that the overall average of the dimensions of the reality of the performance of elementary school principals from the point of view of the study sample in Jeddah, in the light of the Department amounted to roam (4.08) achieved a high degree.

- show that the overall average of the dimensions of the performance requirements of the development of elementary school principals from the point of view of the study sample was in Jeddah (4.38) degree of consent seriously.

- show that there are significant differences between the average estimates of the sample study of the reality of performance management in accordance with the number of years of management experience.

- show that there was no statistically significant differences between the average estimates of the sample study of the reality of performance management in accordance with the number of years of management experience in the following professional growth of teachers.

- show that there are significant differences between the mean estimates of the sample study of the reality of performance management in accordance with the qualification course.

- show a substantial difference in the responses of the sample to the reality of their performance management and variable according to the type of building for the benefit of government buildings.

In the light of these findings the researcher suggests a set of recommendations:

- organization of training programs designed to improve the performance level of elementary school principals the modern types of supervision.

- Determination of the powers that can be delegated to the Director of the school accurately.

- Expansion in the establishment of public schools according to quality specifications, and dispensing with the rented premises.
