NGO GOVERNANCE AND BUREAUCRACY IN BANGLADESH: A COMPARATIVE STUDY

Abstract


The study attempts to present the current status of NGO governance and make comparison with existing bureaucratic system in Bangladesh. At the same time, the study tries to identify the key bureaucratic reform measures undertaken by the government to ensure good governance. There are three major sections in this paper. The first section begins with a brief background of the study. The second section analyses the existing governance system in the NGO sector in Bangladesh. The third section discusses the key concept of good governance in relation to prevailing bureaucratic system in Bangladesh. Finally, the paper presents some recommendations and concluding remarks in context of Bangladesh.
