E-GOVERNANCE: THE ELECTRONIC SOLUTION TO DEFEND CORRUPTION IN BANGLADESH

Abstract


This paper presents the status, potential and constraints of establishing E-Governance infrastructure in Bangladesh. It also illustrates that implementing E-Governance will condense the venture of corruption in government sectors, which will definitely extinguish and affect every corrupted area, both Government and private. Beside these, implementing E-Governance will endow a fair election via e-voting system including electronic voter registration system. This analytical study is based upon current government commercial Acts, policies, information infrastructure and present corruption and political circumstances.
