CORPORATE CITIZENSHIP AND SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY: IN TERMS OF SCIENTISTS

Abstract


Corporate Citizenship is the notion that is related to the local, national and international communities of the company is one of the basic concepts of globalization. The situation of companies in economic, social and environmental relations, sensitivity to human rights, as the level of achievement according relations with social stakeholders, such factors are at the core of the concept of corporate citizenship. Adhering to the principle of corporate citizenship, both the standard and improve the quality of life of the community, but also contributes to corporate value creation process.

One of the most significant researching topics, Corporate Citizenship and Social Responsibility is very important because it is the notion that is related to the globalization. Today corporate citizenship should be paramount topic which people should pay attention to the duties and responsibilities of each institution and also scientists’ work, related to their own country and the world. This work aimed to be critical related to the scientists’ discoveries concerned to the people and indicating scientists are responsible for the consequences of their discoveries with some examples from the recent past to this day. This study seeks an answer to the question as to if scientists are sensitive in the subject of social responsibility and corporate citizenship.
