"Founded in Edmonton, Canada in 1999, the International Society for Peace and Human Rights (ISHPR) is a non-political, non-sectarian organization registered under the Societies’ Act of Alberta and British Columbia. Run entirely by volunteers, ISPHR has three chapters in western Canada: Edmonton, Calgary, and Vancouver.
ISPHR's vision is of a world in which every person enjoys equal human rights, a peaceful existence and a standard of living that provides adequate levels of nourishment, housing, medical care and education for all. Our objective is to create and undertake activities that work toward achieving this vision, in particular for the people of the majority (third) world. This includes protecting the environment." |
