The role of material and moral incentives in organizational commitment

Abstract


The issue of organizational commitment led to the concerns of managers and those interested in matters of organizing the relationship between the organization and the individuals working in it, and its consolidation through defining its concepts, dimensions and effects, as this led to an increase in interest in the concept of organizational commitment by researchers in the field of organizational behavior and determining its causes and the consequent behavioral consequences that may affect On the future of the organization and its workers, because of this has a great impact on achieving the planned goals efficiently and effectively, and the material and moral rewards have a role in increasing the organizational commitment of the workers, as organizations have become in dire need of an effective incentive system that pushes workers towards achievement and strengthens their association and commitment to the organization.

The study aimed to know the reality of the material and moral incentives and organizational commitment in managing security patrols in the Holy Capital and the effect of material and moral incentives on organizational commitment.

The results confirmed the existence of a positive relationship between the material and moral incentives and the organizational commitment of the workers. The material and moral incentives improve the performance of workers, increase their productivity and enhance their organizational commitment.

The study recommended the need for an effective system for material and moral incentives and for familiarizing employees with it, for incentives to be in the unsatisfied needs of workers, and for measuring and strengthening the organizational commitment of workers.
