Strategic Resource Management for University Transformation in Nigeria

Abstract

The main purpose of this paper is to examine how strategic resource management could lead to university transformation in Nigeria. The paper presents strategic resource management process in Nigeria universities. The goals of strategic management in universities were discussed. The models for strategic resource management for university transformation were also presented. The skills needed for strategic resource management for university transformation were also discussed. All the resources that can be managed strategically for university transformation were identified and discussed. The challenges to strategic resource management were discussed and suggestions were made which, if taken into consideration can transform the university system in Nigeria.
