Analysis of current economico – political relationships between China and the European Union

Abstract


The European Union is more and more aware of growing importance of China both in economic and political field of international relations. Successful foreign relations policy is key factor of achieving economico – political targets. Furthermore its importance is growing significantly especially in these complicated times. The objective of this paper is to analyze international political and trading relations between European Union and China. The key part will be devoted to the description of the position of High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton as well as evaluation of her approach to China. I will support my findings with analysis of her officially issued statements, speeches and other available documents.
